A green labradorite partially polished on the front to reveal its lovely flashy iridescence as it catches the light, in a handmade rustic copper shadow box; the surface and interior of the box is partially enamelled with burnt cream enamel to give a distressed, chippy weathered surface.
The oxidized copper wire wrapped around the box keeps the stone in place without preventing some movement of the labradorite within it’s box. The thick recycled leather chord is bronze coloured. The ends wrapped in copper. Closes with a hand forged copper hook
Labradorite comes alive when the light hits it in a certain way - revealing its peacock feather flashing. The focal is around 3 inches (7 1/2 cm) from top to bottom and around 1 3/4 inches (4 1/2 cm) wide.
My favourite Labradorite first people's legend is that long ago it trapped the Northern Lights - whilst some of the light was freed by a warrior, some remains trapped in the stone, giving it the unique flashing and depth.

On average, I find shipping to most places in the world takes a couple of weeks. It can, on occasion, take longer. I ship most non-domestic items with tracking so you can keep an eye on your item as it wings its way to you.
All my items are wrapped and ready for gifting. I ship most international items with tracking (some smaller items like earrings, and textile cuffs may not have tracking as it makes them unreasonably expensive).
Of course. What's the point of jewelry you aren't going to wear! Shopping online is convenient, but sometimes you need to see a thing up-close and and in-person to know how you really feel about it. If you'd like to return your item, just let me know within 14 days of delivery.
My work is organic and purposefully rustic. My pieces take a journey with me as I create them and this aesthetic celebrates the signposts that mark this journey - surface stitches, tool marks, texture and patina are beautiful.
I use found and salvaged objects a lot in my work. These tell a story and reflect my commitment to sustainability.
Pricing is one of the hardest things for an artist. I try to keep my prices accessible, whilst reflecting the time and materials that have gone into creating my pieces.
My process is very organic and personal so, the short answer is no, I don't generally take custom orders. However, please feel free to reach out to me if you have something in mind. I've worked with several of my regular customers to create a piece that uses a material or object that holds a special meaning for them.
