A beautiful aged and distressed salvaged vintage kuchi pendant with red and green glass gems on a flexible choker of Ethiopian silver alloy and copper beads and pale sari silk.
Patterned pale sari silk ribbon is wrapped around a flexible core which covers the memory wire, and is treated to make it hardier and harder than it's natural textile state so it will resist stains or further fraying. The necklace is purposefully distressed, meant to communicate many miles travelled.
The core of the choker necklace is memory wire which is strong and flexible but will retain its coiled shape and adjust to fit your neck. At one end a chain and hand forged copper hook crosses behind (or in front, whichever you prefer) of the kuchi pendant to a black iron loop as an extra detail as memory wire holds its shape so a clasp isn't really necessary.
Maximum length is around 35 inches (89 cm) for two loops around the neck.
