A large natural found limestone - grey with white line inclusions (these are quartz silica) in a simple rustic copper prong setting and long bale. Suspended on a three strands of silver faux leather suede chord (slightly sparkly).
Waratah Bay is a pristine beach in South East Victoria, Australia. Even in the height of summer it is a relatively secluded, perfect spot to walk and listen to the crashing of the waves. The area is rich in natural limestone (there was once a lime kiln at the base of the nearby cliffs, only accessible by a long long walk or sea).
This flat backed stone is set on an oxidized copper plate and held in place with sturdy copper prongs. Focal length, including the long bale, is around 4 inches (10cm). The necklace is around 17 1/2 inches (45 cm) end to end).
The three stranded silvery chord is faux leather (so suitable for vegans) with silver base metal end caps. Closes at the back of the neck with a hand forged copper hook.
