A rustic tribal pin brooch, pieced together from recycled and salvaged materials - felted red, orange and cream merino wool fleece (dry felted onto a red felt backing) and overlaid with scraps of vintage embroidered sari textile, netting, rhinestone, shell and bone bead.
Completely hand sewn (no glue here) with heavy linen thread.
Looks great on a vintage coat or blouse (or to add a little bit of anarchy to a work outfit), knitted shawl or sweater, scarf or bag.
Around 3 inches (7 1/2 cm) across and a little over 2 inches (5 cm) from top to bottom. Fastens with a pin closure.

On average, I find shipping to most places in the world takes a couple of weeks. It can, on occasion, take longer. I ship most non-domestic items with tracking so you can keep an eye on your item as it wings its way to you.
All my items are wrapped and ready for gifting. I ship most international items with tracking (some smaller items like earrings, and textile cuffs may not have tracking as it makes them unreasonably expensive).
Of course. What's the point of jewelry you aren't going to wear! Shopping online is convenient, but sometimes you need to see a thing up-close and and in-person to know how you really feel about it. If you'd like to return your item, just let me know within 14 days of delivery.
My work is organic and purposefully rustic. My pieces take a journey with me as I create them and this aesthetic celebrates the signposts that mark this journey - surface stitches, tool marks, texture and patina are beautiful.
I use found and salvaged objects a lot in my work. These tell a story and reflect my commitment to sustainability.
Pricing is one of the hardest things for an artist. I try to keep my prices accessible, whilst reflecting the time and materials that have gone into creating my pieces.
My process is very organic and personal so, the short answer is no, I don't generally take custom orders. However, please feel free to reach out to me if you have something in mind. I've worked with several of my regular customers to create a piece that uses a material or object that holds a special meaning for them.
